All Resus­ci­ta­tion Acad­emy events aim to deliver the same core con­tent tai­lored to suit local com­mu­ni­ties. All events are low-cost or free.  Resus­ci­ta­tion Acad­emy Online ~ Start­ing Octo­ber 12th, 2015

Now, more EMS lead­ers can take advan­tage of the pro­gram via the web, and ulti­mately use the infor­ma­tion to increase car­diac arrest sur­vival in their com­mu­ni­ties. The con­tent for the online Resus­ci­ta­tion Acad­emy will be based on the exist­ing 2 – day course. We are for­tu­nate to be incor­po­rat­ing not only the exper­tise of the long serv­ing lead­ers of the Seat­tle and King County EMS sys­tems, but also other experts involved in Medtronic Phil­an­thropy HeartRes­cue activ­i­ties. Some of the top­ics that will be cov­ered include:

  • 10 steps to improve survival
  • High-performance CPR
  • Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tor CPR
  • Par­tic­i­pat­ing in a data col­lec­tion registry
  • Resus­ci­ta­tion science
  • Com­mu­nity CPR and AED programs
  • Med­ical leadership
  • Cre­at­ing a cul­ture of excellence

The course fea­tures lec­tures from lead­ing experts, mod­er­ated dis­cus­sion forums, and a rich library of resources all designed to help stu­dents make improve­ments in their own sys­tems as soon as possible.

Who: EMS med­ical direc­tors, man­agers, or train­ing officers.

What: A nine-module class that runs Octo­ber 12-December 15
